Plenty is going on... by OpenGeek 29-Sep-06 06:40 PM
First, nothing is ever promised in open-source projects, especially schedules.
Second, 1.0 is just a number, and what we were calling 1.0 before is probably what we have decided to call 0.9.5 now. 1.0 is in development as scheduled, but there is certainly no reason to debate using MODx now because it is not a "1.0" release.
1.0 is still evolving as a complete rewrite of MODx and will represent a total departure from our Etomite legacy code base. As such, there is still lots of work to do in order to prepare for the significant changes it will bring.
The development team is growing, current code contributions have been coming at a break-neck pace, and well, feel free to stop by the forums to see the very active discussions of everything regarding development, upcoming releases, and the growing library of add-ons.
Now, as this article was saying, release 0.9.5 is working it's way through final beta stages now; give it a try today, why wait?

nmacademy.com Reboot by ipodrx 10-Nov-06 10:47 PM
I'm gonna use this as my base starting for the reboot of my site. If I encounter problems I will be sure to let you guys guys know.
Seeing as I am just now embarking onto this project there isn't much done. If you are interested, it is at http://reboot.nmacademy.com/ I can't do everything thing on my own so if anyone is willing to contribute to the expedition it would be great. Goal of the finally release in Spring 2007.
Sorry about using this as like an advertisement, but it is also a good way to experiment with what MODx has to offer.

It would be a shame if all the buzz and hype surrounding MODx were for naught.
