Mark, I'm a bit confused as it seems like it's just the default template from Andreas and not the port...

Damn!  I should have complained about that rather than just thinking mark was crazy and calling uploading the basic template a port -- I ended up starting to redo it myself for http://jasoncoward.com/    I'll get time some year to actually blog on the damn site or maybe put a gallery up, when I'm not spending all my time converting template ports that aren't template ports...lol

Question.. When I install this template the search box remains the same size as the default template forcing other things on the page to be missaligned.

On host it's perfectly fine, it's bigger when it goes server side. I tried changing the css properties in andreas00.css for the searchform with no luck. So Im wondering if "FlexSearchForm" is overriding andreas' css properties for the form and if so how can I fix this.

Very nive template but i'm having the same problem as parkourdan with the search box.

My problem:
After installing the andreas00.2col template, the left-sided menu was invisble.

So I replaced the menu code in the template andreas00.2col with the menu code from the minimal template (which came with the default installation)
And now it works! 

Original code (left menu did not work):
