I found the following article very amusing and slightly irritating...not because I love MODx so much but it lacks depth, IMHO. It is a headline grabber that doesn't offer anything in the way of concrete reasons why these open source content management systems do not offer what they say on the tin. The author might have a point, but it certainly doesn't come across to me.

In fact, unless I proven wrong, I view the article as nothing more than a gimmick to sell the author's custom made CMS which he doesn't tell us much about; not even on its website!

I might post a response to his blog later on as am pressed for time . Anyway, have a read; have I over reacted?

I just posted my response over there! He didn't post any facts and he didn't even tell why their own cms is better.

It sure lacks depth... no kudos for that post ^^

Indeed, just another bit of "everybody else sucks" self-advertising. I'll bet Revolution has more acronym goodness than his stuff does, anyway.
