Hello  - I have been working on learning modx for almost a year now.  Keep in mind that this is the third CMS i have tried, and the very first website I have ever developed. With no previous schooling, I am pretty proud of what I have learned so far.

I like the friendliness of the forums, and usually find the answers to my questions rather quickly.  I finally got the layout of my site where I want it to be, http://www.azbradopt.org/newsite but I need help in three areas....

a) I can not seem to get any of the calendars provided in the resources download to install, so I have found an opensource calendar that was silly simple to install, vcalendar.  Is there a way for me to intergrate this with my modx site?  IF not, are there any other options?

b)  The biggest part of our site is our adoptions page.  I have developed a pretty intensive one using gallery http://www.azbradopt.org.  Is there a way for me to integrate this to the site too?

c)  Finally, the blog!!!  I had it working, and then I upgraded to 2.1.x and now nothing is showing up for the call.  I am using the standard modxhost template.  I have started a blog in wordpress... www.azbradopt.org/beagleblogs and also, again, would like to integrate that to the modx site.

So basically, I have all these pieces of a site that I would like to make whole.  Anyone interested in providing me with assistance for this small non-profit Smiley  Just let me know what it is I can provide for you.

Please...

a) the provided calendars in the resources should work, what doesn't work for you? Do you get errors or something?

b) There is a module which connects modx and Gallery2 together... I don't now if it still works with the newest versions, but I succesfully used it a year ago.
You should do a search on the forum to find the topic about the "g2 module".

I use it here with modx: http://mediaguy.eu/gallery.html
Don't mind the very wrong color combination, I still have to change the gallery colors to the new design Smiley

Ýou could also take a look at "MaxiGallery", this is a gallery specially for MODx

c) You can use modx to create a blog, look at ditto and reflect snippets to create the blogging functions.

Thanks MediaGuy!!  I found a sloppyfix for the calendar, and embeded a google one in their for now.  As for the Gallery mod... I am useing Gallery 2.2.4, and the mod created for modx does not seem to work on that version.  Also, it seems as though people have lost interest in trying to integrate the two programs.  Once I get over this hump... i think I will be good.

The blogging I am working on and slowly figuring that out.

I really like the gallery on your page.  If I could get mine to work like that....What a wonderful day that would be!
