Months ago I ask for sorting by id with &documents=`id1,id5,id4`.
Background: Some clients wish to have a news overview at home page for selected news. Therefore I created a TV for the home page named startNews. The client's editor now puts IDs of the news he wish to publish at home page in this TV. The &documents parameter uses the TV's content. But sorting dependent on id's order isn't possible. Or am I on the wrong way?

Milestone: Ditto 2.5?  Cry Better would be 2.1.5  Grin

Is there another way/workaround to get this sorting order? Any ideas? I like the simple way getting template-able output by Ditto.
I tried multiple Ditto calls using &documents with unique ID step by step in the order of the TV content. The calls are generated by a snippet using the startNews TV and setting a while loop. But what about the performance of this?
