It's been a while since I posted a template, but I have been honing my CSS and XHTML skills (taking some hints from the CSS Zen Garden). Here is a sample of what I have been working on.  This template seems well suited for a blog.  I did a blog site for my brother at www.enjoyandy.com using more personalized graphics, but the XHTML code is the same.

This template validates as XHTML 1.1, and uses <h1> - <h6> tags appropriately, as they are supposed to be used, to create a page outline, not to change the size of the text.  Text size should always be done in the CSS.  You should look at the XTHML Outline from EnjoyAndy.com to see what I am talking about

Nice one!  I can't wait until we have a download repository and can gather these all up nicely.  It would really be great to have a photo-album like display for them, with a little download buttin next to the title.

Absolutely agree Susan.  I also had a "Try it" feature envisioned where the user could select the link for a template, and that link would either change the template of the page, or take them to a page where the template was in use.  I always like to get a "life size" look at things like templates, Desktop images, etc...
It can be hard to tell if a template will suite your needs or your style by a thumbnail alone.

I think that would be cool.

I'll be setting up a template switcher once he gets his home page content settled and I can finish the CSS for them all.  I can design the site (well, at least I thought I could before I saw this one http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,1679.msg11650.html#msg11650. I may go home and knit booties for my grandkids after all) but the content is another matter.

(I was pleased with that site until I read Ryan's post this morning. Cry )
