Mark... I can't begin to thank you enough for working this out, and for taking a few minutes to teach an old guy a little bit 'bout PHP.

This is your code, but I edited the JS so that the popup window has no MenuBar, no ToolBar, and no LocationBar.

BTW, just to clarify that this "popup" version must be called as an embedded gallery, i.e. [[MiniGallery?display=embedded]]

so, the attached file here opens in just a plain window with no controls so there is more viewable realestate for the pics.

I tried MiniGallery on a local server with mySQL 4.1. The upload doesn't work because folders can not be created. So I created it manually and it works fine.

I also tried it on a web server, with MySQL 3.23. Nothing works.

« MODx Parse Error »
MODx encountered the following error while attempting to parse the requested resource:
« Execution of a query to the database failed - You have an error in your SQL syntax near 'ON user_group=membergroup) JOIN modx_document_groups ON documentgroup=document_g' at line 1 »
      SQL: SELECT * FROM (modx_member_groups JOIN modx_membergroup_access ON user_group=membergroup) JOIN modx_document_groups ON documentgroup=document_group WHERE member='1' and document='62'

Document 62 is the one where the snippet is called. I tried to export the SQL tables of Etogal from 4.1 to 3.23 using phpmyadmin. It gave me this:

CREATE TABLE `modx_etogal` (
  `id` int(10) unsigned NOT NULL auto_increment,
  `gal_alias` varchar(50) NOT NULL default '',
  `filename` varchar(50) NOT NULL default '',
  `title` text NOT NULL,
  `date` datetime NOT NULL default '0000-00-00 00:00:00',
  PRIMARY KEY  (`id`)
) TYPE=MyISAM AUTO_INCREMENT=5 ;

Same error happened.

I tried MiniGallery because epg2 didn't work either on the web server...

Is it possible to call the management of the pictures seperately from the viewing?

Similar to NewsPublisher and NewsListing I guess.

Btw, I'm doing a new gallery based on latest etogal, but alot more features to boost. In this gallery, you will be able to manage the pictures on a separate document..  Wink

No, not in this snippet. You might want to take a look at MaxiGallery, as it is far more powerfull.
