Does anyone know a good free .mov to .flv converter for an Intel Mac (preferred) or a Windows box?

I haven't done .mov -> .flv, but I think it can do it. Converts pretty much everything. I use it to convert movies so I can play them on my phone.

I just use Flash 8 to do that (it has an integrated convertor).

we're using ffmpeg serverside...so we can convert a whole load of different video formats into FLV serverside. It can even make framegrabs automatically for thumbs. Really recommended.

Yes I have. Sometimes a good real-use example / tutorial is easier and helps out a lot.

So if anyone knows of a good tutorial, it would be greatly appreciated.

ehh..just install ffmpeg win32 build on your server and run it from the commandline using PHP
