damn accurate caricatures...

SimplePie looks very nice indeed; much better than Magpie and leaps and bounds above my NewsParserX!  I would love to see an add-on for this in MODx, so I'm downloading it now and seeing if I can make a language-independent version to post in the repository.

Ahh....great to hear, I was just about to say I was going to try and make this into a snippet since I integrated it into my GoogleEvents snippet, but I am more of a hobbyist, and your version will likely be way better.  Can't wait to see it Jason.

Here is the package with a slightly modified version of ZeRo's pieX 0.4 with jp text removed, along with some stuff that looked specific to the author's web site.  This needs an english readme file and to have the comments from the original that describe the snippet parameters translated to english as well.  If someone could take on that, we can post this up to the repository...

I call it, pieX version 0.5 -- original, I know  Tongue

how do you use the simple pie snippet? do you copy and paste the .php file into a snippet and then how do you call it?

I was reviewing SimplePie today and got all excited at the possibilities for a site I'm working on (which is in modx or course). I got to thinking of how I could use it and then BAM - the plugin is here Smiley Thanks OpenGeek! Grin
