Description

This snippet is designed to output a selected chunk's data in another page, after someone clicks a given link. This is espically useful if you create a minimal template, then use a script like Lytebox, which allows for a Lightbox-type application of HTML pages.

I created this snippet for my website, since it covers Namco's "Tales of" series, and therefore has a lot of items, techs, etc. This way, in a page like a Bestiary, under the Item Drop section for a enemy, I can have a window pop-up that has the item data.

This is meant for someone who has data such as items, etc. in chunks, and uses the TV-Chunks plugin on the MODx Wiki to show those chunks on their website.

In case you mispell the name of the chunk, a error message is included that will appear. If you wish, you can edit the message in the core code of the snippet.

Instructions

All you need to do is edit the $urlParam field in the Configuration section to whatever you want it to be. If you want to have seperate fields for Items, Weapons, etc., duplicate the snippet, and change the field on the new copy of the snippet.

This was developed to have the link and the snippet call on different documents, and for the document with the snippet call to be on a more "minimal" template (so it appears in a predetermined height/width pop-up window, hence the name of the snippet. :) ).

This means you will get either an error, or have the chunk appear on the page if you include the link and the snippet call on the same page.
