Auditor 1.3
Works with the following Version(s): 0.9.6
Auditor allows database level historying of the main MODx database for auditing/versioning purposes.
Download
- repo-2320.zip (185 downloads)
Description
Auditor implements a scheme of automatic table row historying using database level triggers. It creates and manages a history database mirroring the main MODx database whereby content; for instance; is archived on every update/creation/deletion.
This allows auditing, versioning and historying to be carried out on the history database to ascertain what content has changed between revisions, who changed it and what it was previously.
This allows past content to be recovered if needed.
It covers the full database ie documents, snippets, chunks. metatags, modules plugins, system settings etc.
Instructions
1. Unzip the auditor_1.3.zip file into your assets/modules directory.
2. If a new install follow the instructions in the file install.txt. If upgrading follow the instructions in the upgrade.txt file. The whole directory can be read only except for the working directory, see the install.txt file.
Upgrading will clear the contents of your history database if you are upgrading from 1.0 or 1.1, please back it up first if you need it.
If you do not have MYSQL version 5.0.2 or greater you need not download this module as it will not work on your installation.
Please read the overview.txt and the database_setup.txt files also.UpdatesAdded 0.9.6.3 sql templates so now works with 0.9.6.3, history db username/password can be overridden, modx-auditor-analysis installation now available from the Auditor module, makes for better integration of these tools, bug fixes. Please read the install/upgrade instructions, upgrading from 1.2 is now much cleaner.
