When working in MODx manager I have to press "ok" to a javascript warning surely over 100 times a day. When developing my site I frequently duplicate, publish/unpublish and move documents, and these actions all triggs the javascript confirm varning.
Only time I want to confirm an action is when deleting or canceling out an changed (unsaved) dokument, chunk etc (canceling unsaved gives no warning today).
The solution could be to enable a switch in configuration for which warnings I need, or possible a pre-configured three level warningslevel: [No warnings][Important warnings][All warnings]
This task depends upon

This task blocks these from closing

Sorry, this one should of course be in feature request! Pls move it there (or delete it) :)

  • Field changed: Task Type (Bug Report → Feature Request)
  • Field changed: Due Date (Undecided → Undecided)
Just changing it to a feature request for you.

I do like the idea of configurable warning levels. I only work on my personal sites so this would be a great timesaver.

Which revision / version number of MODx are you seeing this high of number of JS warnings, and on which page?

I use 0.95 rev 1557, but I don't think it differs from any other version.

NOTE: I don't mean that there are anything that works as it not designt to, just that when working with document and other recources in manager there is a warning for everyting.

For example: Duplicating a chunk I get a dialouge box asking if I'm sure that I want to duplicate. Publishing a document by right click gives a warning about publishing dates. There are many of these warnings and when working in manager for a whole day I surely pressed OK to there warnings over 100 times.

I don't suggest removing them, what I suggest is that there should be some way to limit to when to get a warning.

Also there is the problem that when getting lots of dialoge boxes you just press ok with out reading them. And then when you accedentilly press delete, you also press OK without thinking. If I only get these warnings when trying to do something that can't be undone I should have a warning.

Now if you read my initial suggestion it should be more clear what I'm asking for. I think. :D

(Sorry for bad English.)

Thanks for the clarification. We'll address this for a future version so we can get this sucker out ASAP.

Maybe eventually do the 'Undo' paradigm (see gmail).

Will plan for 1.0.

Curious if this is still actively being worked on. I am a 'new' user and I find this a real pain. I have numerous pages to publish/unpublish every day. At least make it an option in config somewhere...
