To further enhance the capability of the manager so that sessions are kept alive, it is recommended that we utilize AJAX in such a way to where a check is made to see if a session is still active when performing certain operations. That way, if the session is dropped a user can be prompted via a dialog box layer to relogin to the manager. The end result would be that if a user is doing something like saving a new or existing document they won't get kicked back to the login screen and loose everything they were working on.
